“Draw This In Your Style.” It’s a social-media art challenge where someone posts an original drawing and invites others to recreate it in their own style, usually tagging it with #DTIYS

I joined Anastasia (ilrsmur)’s Draw This In Your Style challenge and reimagined her character. Grateful for the prompt—this was a joy to paint!
Style notes (what I explored):
🪷 A soft, pastel palette with warm/cool contrasts to keep the mood serene but lively
🪷 Flowing S-curves (hair, water, koi) to guide the eye toward the face and hands
🪷 Painterly textures and subtle glow to suggest water and light
🪷 Lotus motifs for calm + renewal, and a whimsical koi as the focal motion
